Martinez Family Life

Fun is an essential part of our family and we like to get out as much as we can. We walk or ride our new cruisers downtown where we can frequent our favorite bookstore, toy stores, and restaurants. Saturdays we stop by our local Farmers Market. Our favorite Sunday morning ritual is to go to a diner to read the paper over coffee and eggs.
Every year we go on an annual vacation with Roy’s family to Wright’s Lake in the Sierras. We swim, hike, and barbecue -- everything you are supposed to do at a cabin in the summer. We are also fortunate to live less than 30 minutes from the Pacific Ocean. Recently, we ended up at Heart’s Desire Beach on Tomales Bay. This beach is one of our favorites because it doesn’t have waves making it perfect for kids.

In addition to doing things as a family, both of us have interests of our own. Barbara likes to scrapbook and on occasion plays the piano. Roy in-line skates and likes to lead snow camping trips for the Sierra Club. Roy also likes to cook for small dinner parties. Barbara just wishes he would do it more often!
