Meet Barbara and Roy
 
We met ten years ago at a dinner party for busy professionals. Neither of us had married but both of us knew we wanted to be married. We can only suppose that fate seated us next to each other for the salad course!

Here’s what Roy says about the night they met:

I was smitten immediately! Barbara was smart, poised, and confident. With persistence, I was able to arrange a coffee date. A year and a half after that, we were married in a beautiful garden ceremony. It was truly my dream come true!

Here’s what Barbara says about their first date:

I was attracted to Roy for a number of reasons - he was smart, attractive and fun. But what stood out the most on that first meeting was that he was truly interested in getting to know me - how I thought, what I felt, what my interests were... And the rest is history!

In 2001, we started trying to build our family. After years of infertility, we began to learn about adoption. Our daughter, Grace, was born in February 2004.

Through open adoption we hope to find our second miracle!
